Etihad Stadium Visit

On Thursday 11 May, a group of 31 Year 10 pupils studying Physical Education visited the Etihad Stadium to experience “a day in the life of a footballer”. Pupils discussed the daily routines of a footballer with their knowledgeable hosts Laura and Ian, including training schedules, nutrition, physiotherapy, and the importance of recovery. Expectations regarding the players conduct was another topic of discussion. Pupils had of the opportunity to appreciate the immaculate pitch and see the changing rooms. In the conference room, pupils sat in interview chairs and saw themselves on screen next to a digital representation of club manager, Pep Guardiola. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were praised by the hosts for their impeccable behaviour throughout the tour.
