No More Knives

On Thursday 7th March we welcomed the award winning No More Knives tour to Corpus Christi as part of their wider tour around schools in Preston.

During the day, four hour long sessions were delivered to pupils in years 7 to 10 to raise awareness of the impact of knife crime on young people in modern Britian. The powerful sessions were led by Emma Owens, local Police officers as well as performers including Vonte Grace and NXT Chapter, who used rap performances to combine powerful stories to equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to say no to knives and to remain vigilant to knife crime.

The day was partly funded by Lancashire Constabulary as part of their wider drive to combat knife crime in the county.

The sessions were delivered to a range of secondary schools across Preston during the week and culminated in a large concert on Friday 8th March in Preston City Centre for the young people of Preston.

Feedback from pupils was hugely positive as they enjoyed the energetic and highly impactful performances.
