Annual Summer Production: ‘Six Skives’

In the evening of Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 July, our performing arts club brought us an uplifting school production ‘Six Skives’. The original story, written by Mrs Culkin, was a story about six typical school truants who found themselves on a park bench in Winkley Square, Preston. All six truants come face to face with ghosts of Preston’s past; all of which help the skivers understand that they are missing opportunities; ones which will help them achieve their dreams.  Pupils and staff have worked extremely hard over the last few months to create and refine an unforgettable show, full of laughter, excellent dancing, singing and accomplished acting. It is remarkable what the pupils have achieved in a relatively short amount of time. The execution of the show and dedication of the pupils through the rehearsals was clear to see. Congratulations to everyone involved, and thank you to families who made up the audience and for the assistance of Patricia Harrison and the Friends of Winkley Square.
