Year 10 Castlerigg Retreat

Last week, 53 Year 10 pupils enjoyed a week-long retreat at Castlerigg led by Metanoia Project and Corpus Christi staff. The theme was “What my Father’s Like”, based on the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke’s Gospel. We delved much more deeply into who God is and what He has done for us over the course of the week, hearing testimonies from staff about how God is working in their lives, having a beautiful service of Reconciliation with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and finishing the week with a fantastic celebration of Mass all together. One pupil in their feedback said “I have learned that God is real and that He does love me as I am.” Thank you to all staff involved for giving up their time so generously to ensure that pupils could experience the love of God so tangibly!
